Earlier this week, the English media came up with some claims saying that Leeds United have joined the race for Braga defender Bruno Viana.

Talksport reported that the Whites and Foxes should now battle with Watford and Wolverhampton to get the 24-year-old.

Now although it’s been said that the player would cost between £8m and £10m, the Portuguese press comes up with some different claims today.

Newspaper A Bola says Viana is actually protected by a €25m release clause, and it’s unlikely that Braga president Antonio Salvador will let the player go for less than €15m.

That would be a big signing for Leeds United.

Bruno Viana has been a crucial player for Braga this season, having made 39 appearances for the club. He’s been signed last summer on a €3m deal from Olympiacos, and it looks like the Portuguese side could make some big profit by selling him just an year later.
