Stuttgart midfielder Alexandru Maxim has told the German media he will decide his future when he returns after the summer break. The Romanian has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent months.
Lattenkreuz have reported on comments made by Maxim when he was asked about his future at Stuttgart.
The playmaker said he can’t discuss anything at the moment, and that first he’ll attend his friend’s wedding in his home country. Maxim went on to say when he returns to Germany he’ll make a decision.
“I can’t say anything. First of all, I will now travel to Romania and go to my friend’s wedding. After that, I will see if I will continue,” said the Leeds United target.
During the last window Maxim’s agent confirmed he held initial talks with Leeds United over a possible move to the Championship side. At the time only Leeds United and Club America were showing an interest, but more clubs are expected to join the race in the summer.
The Championship side have continued to be linked with the Romanian, and could look to move in on the player in the next window. Stuttgart have been linked with Ante Coric in the past week, and his arrival could spell the end of Maxim’s time with the German club.
