According to a claim in the German media, Hamburg forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga has been offered to Hannover 96.
The 25 year old is expected to leave Hamburg before the window closes, and the player has also been strongly linked with Leeds United in the past couple of weeks.
German magazine Kicker report Hannover are looking to bring in an experienced forward in this window after getting promotion back to the top flight.
The German side have been linked with the likes of Franco di Santo, Luuk de Jong and Ishak Belfodil, and it’s claimed Lasogga has been offered to Hannover. It’s not been revealed whether this was by Hamburg or Lasogga’s agent.
This month Leeds United have been linked with Lasogga and the forward was present at Elland Road last weekend for the Championship side’s clash with Preston North End.
However, in recent days a move to England has gone quiet, with claims Lasogga is having second thoughts about a move to Leeds United, despite talks taking place.
Lasogga had concerns about getting into the Leeds United team due to the presence of Chris Wood.
With his chances at Hamburg likely to be limited this season Lasogga faces a race against time to find a new club before the window closes, but a stumbling block is the player’s wages.
Leeds United had concerns about his huge salary, and it’s likely Hannover will feel the same.
Should Leeds United still be interested then it’s clear they need to move a little more quickly, with Lasogga being offered around.
