IFK Norrkoping defender Linus Wahlqvist has played down reports he will be moving in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Leeds United.
The Sweden international confirmed his agent is the one dealing with such things, and at the moment he’s only concentrating on football matters. Wahlqvist revealed a move could happen when the time is right, but for the time being this isn’t something he’s concerned about.
“Not much, it’s my agent who takes care of it. It’s important to do well in the matches, then we will see. It’s not something I’m thinking about,” said the Leeds United target.
Leeds United have already tried to sign the fullback, making an approach for Wahlqvist last summer. Throughout this season Leeds United have continued to be linked with the youngster in the Swedish media, and it’s expected they’ll again show interest in the next window.
Despite Garry Monk’s side not getting promotion to the Premier League, there’s still some hope… the Swede has in the past stated he’s be interested in playing in the Championship.
