Leeds United have been moving forward quickly with transfers since Thomas Christiansen was announced as the club’s manager.
Wanting to work with a more structured system of recruitment, not just manager led and therefore changing each time there’s a regime swap, Leeds United will have club targets which they’ve now had time to chat to Christiansen about.
That’s led to a push with attempts to sign Mateusz Klich from FC Twente, and also other players being more seriously pursued.
One of those is Lugano’s Ezgjan Alioski, with Swiss outlet Correio de Ticino making it sound like a deal is close. They state that unless other clubs come in, it looks like Macedonia international Alioski will be signing for Leeds.
The Championship club have already held talks with Lugano president Angelo Renzetti, and now they simply have to ‘formalise’ the transfer, which makes it all sound so simple. Correio de Ticino follow that up with: ‘Farewell to ‘Gianni’, then.’
Gianni is, thankfully, how Swiss fans and media often refer to the 25 year old attacker. Leeds United supporters should be impressed by his statistics, the player scored 17 goals and made 14 assists last season.
