Leeds United summer signing Pontus Jansson believes the club should be in the Premier League after over a decade outside the top flight. The Championship side have been impressive form in recent weeks as they look to get finally get promotion to the top tier.
Jansson thinks a club like Leeds United should be playing in the Premier League, and believes they will achieve this.
“When walking through the corridors I knew instantly there is a tradition at the club. All involved are proud of it and have every reason to be. Leeds belong in the top flight, and there we shall be again. I have felt at home here from the first day,” said Jansson on his new club.
After a poor start to the season which saw Leeds United record one win in their opening 6 games, they have managed to propel themselves up the Championship table in recent weeks. Garry Monk’s side have won their last 3 league games, which has seen them rise to 12th in the table, just 3 points off the play-off spots.
Jansson’s time at Leeds is being followed very closely in his native Sweden, and there’s a genuine excitement around the possibility of the defender helping his new club get back to the big time.
