Ezgjan Alioski is currently away with the Macedonia national team and he’ll have joined up with his country full of confidence.
Leeds United have had a great start to the season and Alioski has certainly been an important part of that.
Marcelo Bielsa’s new approach and system has been bought into by the players and Alsioki has two goals and two assists in six Championships games so far this season.
Now he needs to transfer it to the Macedonia national team, with matches against Gibraltar and Armenia coming up.
Currently preparing in the heat of Gibraltar, the Leeds player told Macedonia Gol that the country are approaching the match with confidence: “We are not afraid of the favourite role, we are in a good positive run and only have victory in our minds. We do not know much about the opponent, but we focus on our game, on what we do in the training. No matter what position I am playing, I will be ready for the show.”
On his club football, Alioski explained why things are going well this season: “In Leeds I’m good, I play continuously, we win… Obviously, Marcelo Bielsa brought a lot of new things, because the players are the same, but the results are much better.
“A lot of work on the tactics, but he also requires that we be physically prepared to the maximum. We cannot compare the training in a club and in a team, because here we are only a few days with a strict mission and preparation only for the next game.”
Alioski will be expected to shine for Macedonia during the current international break, which should send him back to Leeds United in an even better mood.
