Leeds United are one of the clubs who are interested in the signing of Santos youngster Renyer, according to reports.
The news comes from Portugal, where newspaper Record features a story about him, mostly highlighting the interest from Benfica in landing the winger. That’s a column from journalist Fabiano Abreu Agrela.
And the interesting fact regarding Leeds United’s pursuit is that it was revealed by the agent of the 18-year-old.
Agrela first points out that Renyer is represented by agent Emerson Zulu, who’s claimed to be a very ‘experienced’ representative, who keeps the players on a very high level.
Then the journalist points out that speaking to the official, the interest from Benfica and Premier League clubs, including Leeds, was revealed.
Renyer, who even has seven appearances for Santos’ first team, is currently playing for the U-20 squad.
It’s hard to guess how much he’d be worth, since the report doesn’t mention any numbers, although it does make it sound like it’s Benfica who are closer to signing him.
