As the Catalan media won’t stop claiming Leeds United star Raphinha would like to join Barcelona, it’s now said he turned down the chance of moving to Liverpool.
Outlet Sport writes that due to his wish of signing for the Catalan side, the 25-year-old and his agent Deco have now turned down the ‘juicy offer’ that arrived from Anfield.
It’s claimed that Raphinha had been chosen by Jurgen Klopp to replace the potential exit of Sadio Mané, who could leave for Bayern Munich.
With more ‘financial muscle’ than Barça, Liverpool would have an advantage in the talks with Leeds.
It’s said the Reds would like to include in the deal the transfer of Takumi Minamino, whom the Whites would welcome at Elland Road, and an agreement between the two Premier League sides would be ‘more than feasible’.
However, Raphinha already has a financial agreement ‘closed’ with Barcelona, and continues to be focused on moving to the Camp Nou this summer.
As he currently spends time with the national team, he waits for the Catalan side to find an agreement with Leeds, who demand €65m for the move.
