Laurens De Bock hasn’t exactly been a runaway success at Leeds United since joining the club in the winter window.
Edging his way out of Club Brugge, the transfer was questioned at the time and has been doubted more so since. Injuries haven’t helped the fullback settle in and show what he can do and he doesn’t seem to be part of Marcelo Bielsa’s core plans.
The Championship club have signed Barry Douglas from Wolves, and that pushes De Bock further out of the picture at Elland Road. It’s highly unlikely the 25 year old Belgian is going to get ahead of 28 year old Douglas in Leeds United’s plans.
Pushing the situation home, De Bock wasn’t included in Bielsa’s match day squad for the 3-1 victory over Stoke City on Sunday.
Belgian newspaper HLN say De Bock isn’t in Bielsa’s plans and will likely look to leave the club.
Whilst a transfer isn’t nailed on, and the player has to find a destination soon, De Bock is ‘looking forward’ to finding a ‘solution’ for his future.
