Leeds United have been linked with Matheus Cunha throughout the summer window, with various claims related to Whites interest in the player.
Cunha is a 22-year-old forward who plays for Hertha Berlin, having signed for the Bundesliga club from RB Leipzig.
Last season the Brazilian scored eight goals and assisted a further eight in 28 appearances for the German side, which has attracted attention from various clubs.
Back in May it was reported that Leeds United had expressed interest in the player, and a potential fee for a summer move was put at €40m.
That was a figure reported multiple times with reference to Leeds, although at least one report stated €36m would be enough.
TMW now believe €25m could do the trick. They report Zenit interest in Cunha, and then add that there’s ‘strong competition’ from Leeds United and AS Monaco.
There’s not a great deal more said, but €25m is clearly a more attractive figure for Leeds United, and other clubs interested, than the earlier claims of €40m.
