Leeds United defender Diego Llorente is edging closer towards joining AS Roma for the second time this year, according to a Sky Italia, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Whites allowed the 29-year-old to spend the second half of last season on loan at the Serie A side, who also had an option to make his stay permanent for €18m.
It’s claimed that in the ‘last few hours’, the Giallorossi have found an agreement with the English club to take the centre-back on a new loan deal. The report doesn’t specify if the new deal would also include an option or obligation to buy.
José Mourinho wanted to have the player again and this has been a key factor for Roma general manager Tiago Pinto to push negotiations with Leeds. The latter has now secured a loan agreement with the Whites in the ‘last few hours’.
