Leeds United are among the clubs monitoring Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino for this summer.
The forward has 10 goals and an assist from 24 matches in all competitions, that includes one start in the league and two more in the Champions League.
His situation at Liverpool has caught Leeds United’s attention as ‘polls have been carried out’ by the Whites for the 27-year-old.
That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, who add that apart from Jesse Marsch’s side, even Lazio have carried out surveys for the Japan international. There also seems to be an interest from Inter Milan in the Liverpool player.
It’s claimed Minamino is ‘leaving Liverpool’ since he has found ‘little space’ under Jürgen Klopp. He has a good relationship with his manager and teammates but is looking to leave since the former Red Bull Salzburg man wants to enjoy more minutes next season.
The Liverpool coach would not want to deprive himself of the attacker, who is a ‘valuable alternative’. However, Klopp will not stand in his way if the Merseyside club receive a ‘convincing offer’. The Reds value him around €19-20m.
There is interest from Lazio, but the fee quoted is ‘high’ for them. In addition to this, they have other priorities at the moment.
La Lazio Siamo Noi’s report came out on Sunday and regarding Leeds United, they stated the Whites, who carried out polls for Minamino, first needed to find out whether they will stay in the Premier League.
Thankfully, for Leeds, that’s now secured.
It now remains to be seen whether or not they will convert this first contact into something more serious.
