Salernitana may sell their in-from forward Massimo Coda if the right offer comes in from another club. The 28-year-old has been in impressive form this season for the Serie B side, and has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent months.
However, even though the leaders of Salerntiana want to keep the player at the club they could be tempted if a big offer is tabled for him.
During the last transfer window, we covered reports from Italy that Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino was showing an interest in Coda, and was hoping to pull off a deal with the Serie B side before the deadline.
Despite no offer coming in from the Championship side it was claimed officials from Leeds United held meetings in Milan with the sporting director of Salernitana to thrash out a deal.
However, Leeds United’s approach came too late in the window, so a deal couldn’t be done in time, and perhaps the €3m fee was deemed too high.
