Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz has travelled to Poland before flying out to Los Angeles to link up with his new club.
That’s according to COPE, who say the player is ‘already history’ at Ibiza and will be joining the MLS side sooner rather than later.
They explain that the Leeds midfielder made it clear he wants to move to Los Angeles FC when the transfer was presented to him, insisting that he wanted to ‘take advantage’ of an opportunity that had been there since the January transfer window.
Indeed he had already asked to leave the Spanish club, where he has been on loan since last season, ‘months ago’ but at that point they ‘flatly refused’ as they wanted to keep him to help their fight against relegation.
However, the situation has changed as Leeds have agreed to sell the midfielder to LA FC, so it was ‘no longer possible’ for them to block the exit.
Ibiza will be receiving ‘an economic amount’ from Leeds as compensation for their loan deal being cancelled.
Bogusz has already said goodbye to his teammate as Can Misses and flown back to his native Poland, where he is set to catch a flight to America to begin his new adventure in MLS.
