Compared to Italy, the amount of exclusive news from French fan websites is relatively low, but it does happen nevertheless.
Paris United are a good example of that for Paris Saint-Germain, and Olympique et Lyonnais are one for Lyon who sometimes manage to get a tidbit of information.
Their latest, published on Monday morning, involves the Ligue 1 side and Leeds United, where Marcelo Bielsa is said to be interested in one of their forwards.
According to the website, the Elland Road side have been taking an interest in Maxwel Cornet for ‘a few months’, with an offer of €12m already made ‘a few weeks ago’ to convince their French counterparts to let him go.
So far, however, the bid ‘hasn’t satisfied’ Lyon, as it ‘doesn’t meet the expectations’ from the club’s board for their player.
The big question now is whether ‘Leeds are ready to offer more’ for the Ivory Coast international, whose contract with the French side expires in 2023.
