EDIT: After further investigation, it appears Gouka was misinformed, as Jack Harrison’s loan to Everton does not apply to these rules, as it is a domestic deal. Thus, there is still a s lot left for Sinisterra to head to Feyenoord, although whether they choose to use it is up to them and Leeds

Feyenoord are working to bring Leeds United’s Luis Sinisterra back to the club, a year after they sold him to the Whites.

That’s according to 1908.nl, who state the Eredivisie side have renewed their interest in the 24-year-old last weekend.

It’s claimed the Dutch champions are in ‘direct contact’ with Leeds over a potential deal for the winger.

The Colombia international missed Leeds’ league defeat against Birmingham City due to an injury.

Feyenoord have currently dropped their interest in Sevilla’s Oussama Idrissi and are focusing on the South American. 1908.nl state their idea is to sign the attacker on a loan deal.

However, Algemeen Dagblad journalist Mikos Gouka took to Twitter to provide an additional update on the possibility of Sinisterra returning to Feyenoord.

Gouka says Leeds appear to have maxed out the loan quota after sending seven players out on loan and therefore, Feyenoord can only sign Sinisterra on a permanent deal. In that case, the player will be ‘too expensive’ for the Dutch club.

As per FIFA’s regulations, a club can send seven players out on loan internationally for the 2023/24 season and this figure will drop to six from next season.

Leeds have already loaned out seven players this summer and this includes Diego Llorente, whose temporary spell at AS Roma was extended until the end of the season, adding him to the list of Jack Harrison (domestic), Robin Koch, Max Wöber, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca.
