Targeted by Leeds United over the summer, Noa Lang never really looked like he would leave Club Brugge.
After all, he had just signed after a successful loan from Ajax, and the young Dutchman seemingly wanted an extra year with the Belgian side before potentially seeking greener pastures.
That’s what his agent, Bart Baving, hinted at on Tuesday when talking to Calciomercato.it, as he confirmed that a Champions League club are also very interested.
Asked about Milan’s interest, he told the website: “It’s true, I know the Rossoneri appreciate him a lot, but I repeat, it’s normal that a player with his statistics and numbers can be of interest to so many teams. Now, however, he’s completely focused on Club Brugge and wanted to win the Belgian league again.”
Already finding the back of the net four times and assisting another four this season, the Leeds target was also a star man in his side’s great performance against Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain.
Baving continued to talk up his client: “Noa is Noa. He has always had this type of playing style. He always works hard and has excellent technique, dribbling and vision. He is also an excellent decision maker and a neat finisher. He is also a generous player, anything but selfish. I have heard many people say that he looks like Neymar, especially after the PSG match.”
As for what the future holds, only time will tell, but it’s clear that if Leeds continue to be interested over the course of the current season (and why wouldn’t they?), then they really will have a lot of clubs to fight off.
Will Marcelo Bielsa’s pull be enough? We’ll have to wait and see, but with the likes of Milan sniffing, his arguments better be spot on.
