Earlier on Friday, we covered a claim that Leeds United had made a bid for Leon Bailey at Bayer Leverkusen.
There were very few details, but the news was there, and it appears the Elland Road club have made a winger their priority in the days to come.
That’s because the same journalist who reported about the Bailey bid, Manu Lonjon, has now added a second name to the list of players Leeds are keen on, which is Lyon’s Maxwel Cornet.
According to him, the newly promoted Premier League club have ‘come for information’ about the Ivory Coast international’s situation, who made 38 appearances in all competitions under Rudi Garcia last year.

During that time, he managed to score six goals and assist another five, clearly impressing Marcelo Bielsa and his scouts along the way.
There’s no indication as to whether or not Lyon would be open to a sale, but considering the forward was used in all three Champions League games after the break and scored against Manchester City, that could be unlikely.
We’ll have to wait and see, with hopefully more information around the corner about this one.
