Like him or loathe him, there’s no denying that Marcelo Bielsa is a man that has an effect on players.
Whether it’s good, like his current situation at Leeds United, or bad, there’s no denying the Argentine boss is a manager who leaves his mark.
Currently, at Leeds, it’s fair to say that whatever he is doing is going down a storm with the players at Elland Road.
Leeds’ squad have nothing but positive things to say about the current man on the touchline and their performances are certainly indicative of players who believe in the coach.
Indeed, such is the good feeling coming out of Elland Road of late, even those who aren’t working with Bielsa anymore have positive things to say.
Hugo Díaz is one such player. He left Leeds for Getafe on a free transfer this summer but had nothing but still gushed about working under Bielsa at Elland Road.
“He is the coach who has marked me the most in life, and it is a pride and satisfaction to have trained with him almost every day,” he told Tele Madrid.
Díaz will now be hoping to put what he learned from Bielsa to good use with Getafe this season.
