As the Italian media continues with their big coverage regarding the next manager of Tottenham Hotspur, there’ve been updates today on most of the options the Premier League side have on the table.
Earlier today, we’ve seen ESPN journalist Gabriele Marcotti telling CalcioMercato.it that Maurizio Sarri, Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte would all be unlikely possibilities for Spurs.
Now it’s time to talk about another alternative for Tottenham, which is Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
It’s TuttoMercatoWeb who features a story today on the 63-year-old, based around the claims from England to say Spurs are interest in the manager.
However, according to their own information, the coach would not leave the Serie A for the London side.
The outlet is pretty sure that Gasperini would only leave Atalanta in case Juventus come for him in the summer, or another European side who could offer him and his club something great.
They say ‘the reality’ is he wouldn’t leave Bergamo for London, or ‘at least not for Tottenham’.
TuttoMercatoWeb says this is a ‘technical and economical’ issue, as there are ‘very few clubs’ who could take the coach out of the Serie A side, and Spurs are apparently not one of them.
