Turkish website Fotospor claim Trabzonspor will make an offer for Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
The Turkish league leaders are in the market for a defensive midfielder after former Chelsea and Middlesbrough man John Obi Mikel left the club in March.
They were linked with a move for Manchester City’s Ante Palaversa but Fotospor report they are now targeting Mendy.
The 27 year old will become a free agent at the end of the season and Trabzonspor are hoping the lure of Champions League football will convince him over a move to Turkey.
Mendy is a cousin of former Swansea City and Galatasaray striker Bafetimbi Gomis and has been linked with a move to the Super Lig before.
He hasn’t been a regular part of Brendan Rodgers’ team this season and a departure from Leicester City is looking likely.
This season he’s made just six appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions.
