Sabah report Trabzonspor have identified Brentford’s Halil Ibrahim Dervisoglu as a target and will knock on the Championship side’s door with an offer this summer.
The Turkish club were linked with a move for Dervisoglu when he was playing for Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam, but the 20 year old ended up joining Brentford instead.
According to Sabah, Trabzonspor remain interested in signing the player, and will make a loan offer, with an option to buy. It’s likely they will be looking to strengthen in the summer window with the possibility of the Super Lig leaders getting Champions League football next season.
Dervisoglu is said to be keen on playing for Trabzonspor, a club he’s supported since his childhood days, and he would be happy to join them, despite playing for Brentford for just four months.
The Turkish U21 international has made four appearances in all competitions for Thomas Frank’s side this season. His name has also linked with fellow Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Besiktas in the past.
