Last minute Serie A deal could be on cards for Leicester City

According to a claim in the Italian media, Benevento are showing an interest in Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane.

The 30 year old looks surplus to requirements at Leicester, and has yet to make a Premier League appearance this season.

TMW have reported Benevento could give the former Atalanta defender a chance to return to Serie A before the window closes today.

The Italian side look destined to drop out of Serie A this season, but this hasn’t stopped the club looking to carry out last minute business.

Earlier in the window we covered reports that Benaloune was being offered around to Serie A clubs, with Hellas Verona the only ones said to be taking an interest.

With 18 months left on his contract, Leicester City seem keen to offload the central defender, but face a race against time.

The masterplan for the Premier League club will be sell him on a permanent basis, but it’s unlikely Benevento could offer the him the financial package.
