It seems that Yohan Benalouane is stuck at King Power Stadium.

The Tunisian defender, bought for £6.3m from Atalanta back in 2015, has never managed to convince anyone at Leicester City, except maybe Craig Shakespeare during the second half of last season.

Claude Puel certainly hasn’t given the 30-year-old a chance, and we included him as one of 20 potential players to watch over the January transfer window, such was our conviction he would move this month.

Unfortunately, no one appears to want him, as Gazzetta dello Sport reveal Benalouane was offered to Hellas Verona in Serie A recently, only to be told they weren’t interested in him.

After his failed loan to Fiorentina during the second half of the loan, and the fact he’s barely played for Leicester this season, perhaps clubs are a bit skeptical of whether he still has it in him.

That, and it also depends how much the Foxes are asking for him, with over a year left on his deal.
