ADO Den Haag are targeting Nottingham Forest forward Lars Veldwijk, according to claims in the Dutch media. The Dutch side risk losing their star striker Mike Havenaar before tomorrow’s deadline, and they see Veldwijk as a possible replacement.
Groengeelhart have revealed ADO Den Haag are planning in the event Havenaar exits the club in this window after recent interest from German clubs.
Havenaar has started the season well with ADO Den Haag, and was impressive at the weekend during his side’s 1-1- draw with Heracles despite missing a penalty. However, if he were to leave the club ADO Den Haag will try to sign Veldwijk on loan to fill this void.
Veldwijk joined Nottingham Forest in 2014 from Dutch side Excelsior, but has failed to make an impact during his time in England. The 25-year-old has played just 12 league games for the Championship side, and last season he was loaned out to PEC Zwolle.
Another ADO Den Hagg player linked with a move in this window is Tom Beugelsdijk, following claims Leeds United want to sign the defender. Leeds United have already sent scouts to Holland this season to get a lowdown on the 26-year-old, with claims they were impressed with the player. However, Leeds United will face competition from Sampdoria to land the central defender.
