Tottenham Hotspur are among a few clubs in the picture for Barcelona’s Clément Lenglet, according to reports.
Last week, Sport explained the centre-back has received offers from the Premier League but didn’t provide any details of the clubs that have made proposals for him.
Fichajes.net have come up with a report stating the La Liga side want to sell the 26-year-old and Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides looking at him for the summer window.
The La Liga side are set to seal a deal for Andreas Christensen, and he will arrive at the Camp Nou as a free agent. The Dane will join Eric García, Ronald Araújo and Gerard Piqué to become the four centre-backs next season.
Christensen’s signing could force the France international to look for a new club since he is not included in Xavi Hernández’s plans for next season. There are several clubs ‘fighting’ for his signature, and this includes Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs will need to bolster their defence and therefore, Antonio Conte ‘would welcome the incorporation’ of the Frenchman. That is because the defender is comfortable with the ball at his feet and could ‘feel more protected’ in a three-man defence.
Lenglet can become as a ‘viable option’ for Tottenham.
