Ronald Koeman has been doing a round of interviews with the Catalan media, and on Friday the Everton manager has a double page spread in Mundo Deportivo.
Koeman left Southampton last summer, as Everton paid the manager’s release clause. And whilst things didn’t end of the best of terms, the Dutchman values his time at St Mary’s.
“My first two years in Southampton were very important because of the experience I acquired,” Koeman told Mundo Deportivo. “Everton is a different club, with more history and more intensity to win things due to its past. I’m very happy here, really.”
Southampton signed up Claude Puel and, despite once again selling players they could have done with keeping, the club aren’t having too bad a season.
Mundo Deportivo also pressed the Barcelona job to Koeman, and he was once again positive about taking over at the Catalan club.
