Towards the end of February, several reports from Italy discussed Liverpool interest in Inter Milan’s Milan’s Nicolò Barella.
The Serie A side must raise €60m before June 30th and that can be achieved by carrying out an important sale. The midfielder’s sale can help in this regard, considering the Reds are keen on him.
That’s according to InterLive.it, who explain Jürgen Klopp really likes the 26-year-old and could ‘seriously attempt’ his signing, if the manager continues at Liverpool next season. As it stands, the German is likely to stay at Anfield.
In need to bolster his side’s midfield, Klopp has already made it known he is interested in Barella and the Algeria international. It’s claimed one of the two players can ‘seriously bid farewell’ to their respective clubs, even though Bennacer has signed a new deal at AC Milan.
With the Liverpool coach showing interest in Barella and Bennacer, the two Italian clubs ‘fear’ losing their respective players in the next window.
It’s not made clear which one is favoured by Klopp and Liverpool.
