Earlier this week we covered a claim from the Turkish media that Leicester City forward Islam Slimani isn’t happy with his situation at Fenerbahce after heading there on loan in the last window.
The Algeria international is said to be concerned about his future with the Istanbul club and has shown his displeasure about the way some of his teammates have been treated.
Slimani has come in for flak in Turkey for his performances and Tavkim have added fuel to the fire with their assessment of the Leicester City loanee.
The Turkish media outlet have labelled Slimani is the ‘King of Wasted Chances’ after his scoring exploits in recent seasons. They highlight in the last two years Slimani has played 29 League games for Fenerbahce, Leicester City and Newcastle United but has only managed to score two goals.
This season the attacker has scored just one goal and the Fenerbahce fans reportedly want to see the real Slimani after the international break.
It’s also reported the Turkish club’s coaching staff and management are also hoping Slimani can return to his best, as they are paying him €4.5m per season, quite a lot of money considering the Yellow Canaries’ financial status.
At this stage it looks like Slimani will be returning to Leicester City next summer when his loan period ends.
