Leeds United have identified KAA Gent’s Jordan Torunarigha as a target for the summer window.

The centre-back joined the Jupiler Pro League side initially on loan from Hertha BSC in January 2022 and his stay there was made permanent later that year.

He’s been a regular for Gent and his performances have caught the attention of a few clubs, including Leeds.

That’s at least what Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a update on the 26-year-old’s future.

Plettenberg talks about VfB Stuttgart’s interest in the German-born Nigeria international to replace injured Dan-Axel Zagadou. The latter has been sidelined with a serious knee injury since the end of January.

The journalist named Leeds and TSG Hoffenheim as the teams that are ‘keen on him’.

Torunarigha has over a year left on his deal and after a ‘top season’, Plettenberg says he could leave in the next window, if Gent were to receive an offer of around €2.5-3m.

This should be reasonable for Daniel Farke’s side, and their chances of signing Torunarigha will improve if they secure promotion back to the Premier League.
