Leicester City fans probably don’t know much about Kamal Sowah. The 18 year old Ghanian signed for the Foxes on January 31st and then on the same day was sent out on loan to Belgium.
With Leicester having a relationship with OH Leuven through King Power, the route to Belgium’s second division made more sense than it would have otherwise. Sowah, a midfielder, is set to stay with his loan club for another season after the current one.
He’s just started to get on the pitch and is a versatile option for OHL, preferring a role as a midfielder, but pretty much up for playing anywhere he’s needed.
Now he’s getting some action, the Belgian media are having a look, and newspaper Het Nieuwsblad have got a few words with the Leicester City owned player.
Whilst he’s committed to where he’s at right now, Kamal Sowah made no secret what his longer term aim is: “I am here to work very hard and get better, but I hope to be able to go back to Leicester one day and build a big career there. Playing in the Premier league is my dream. OHL is the perfect club to work on that. We also have a coach who has experience in the Premier League.”
That coach is none other than Nigel Pearson.
