Arnaut Danjuma returned to the Premier League in the summer window when he joined Everton on loan from Villarreal.
This season, the forward has managed a goal and an assist from 12 games, and has seen his game time restricted in the league in recent times. He’s clocked in 46 minutes from the last seven matches.
When asked about the 26-year-old’s situation, Everton manager Sean Dyche said. “The same as it was. Fighting for his place. Just like everyone else.”
This is highlighted by Voetbal International, who then relay quotes from former Schalke midfielder Simon Cziommer about the Netherlands international.
Cziommer is working as an agent and represents Burnley’s Wout Weghorst, who is now on loan at TSG Hoffenheim. The frontman joined the Clarets in January 2022, when Dyche was in charge at Turf Moor.
The agent, who is also an analyst, knows about the current Everton coach’s methods well because of Weghorst, and has sent a message to Danjuma after Dyche’s latest comments.
“With this manager you just have to show it. I already experienced that when he worked at Burnley. You have to show every day that you want it 100%. Especially in this situation,” he said.
“Fight, fight, fight. Then he gets his playing minutes and you have to be lucky to be able to make the difference.”
It’s to be noted Cziommer doesn’t manage Danjuma, but was sharing his informed opinion on how the Dutchman can improve his situation at Everton.
