Amine Gouiri’s impressive displays for OGC Nice have caught attention of Liverpool, as per reports.

The 21-year-old arrived at the Ligue 1 side from Lyon in the 2020 summer window.

He scored 16 goals and registered eight assists across all competitions last season, while operating as a left winger and centre forward. This term, the attacker has four goals and an assist in four league matches.

The Reds have seen Roberto Firmino struggle in this calendar year, managing only five goals in 25 league matches.

Gouiri has a similar profile to Firmino and Jürgen Klopp ‘seems to be very interested’ in working with the Frenchman at Anfield. The Premier League side’s manager is a great admirer of the versatile attacker and believes he can take Firmino’s place in the Reds’ squad.
