Appointing Antonio Conte as their manager to replace Nuno Espírito Santo, Tottenham are now reaping the benefits of that appointment.

After all, the club qualified for the Champions League last season, and have spent the summer reinforcing their squad smartly, with their acquisitions having an almost immediate impact on Spurs’ form.

The likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have all been key to the turnaround at Tottenham under the Italian, which is why some in his home country are ruing the fact Juventus decided against appointing him and placing all their eggs in the Max Allegri basket.

The Serie A side have struggled to return to the top of their league, and their slow start to the season isn’t dispelling any of their fears, with Napoli and Milan the stronger sides at the moment.

All of this is voiced by Massimo Brambati, who spoke to TMW Radio about it, relayed by TuttoJuve24.

He said: “Allegri uses a method that is too old, like Inzaghi at Inter, giving little importance to aggression. This is the real different from European football, where they massacre us.

“As I have always said, the best name to think of a reconstruction was that of Conte. Just look at how his Tottenham is running at a thousand miles per hour.”

Currently third in the Premier League and still unbeaten with four wins and two draws in six games, Tottenham also got their Champions League season off to a winning star, beating Marseille 2-0 at home on Wednesday night thanks to a Richarlison brace.
