Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho isn’t always a nice guy, even his biggest fans would have to accept that. There have been lots of negative stories about the manager down the years, but there are also a lot of people in the game who have had very positive experiences with the coach.
Wolves manager Walter Zenga has given a big interview this week to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Extra Time supplement and was asked about his relationship with the Manchester United manager.
The Wolves boss explained: “Jose is not only a great coach, but he’s also a champion of human relationships. When with Catania I faced Inter at the Meazza, he made go out on the pitch first to let me enjoy the tribute from the fans. He granted me, at his house, to be the main man on the stage.
“Gestures like these qualify a person. In the return to Catania, I answered with a very English gesture: I gave him a bottle of fine wine. I’m rooting for him, I say this without any problem.”
Zenga is a goalkeeping legend for Inter Milan so was always going to get a great reception, and Mourinho helped make sure he could enjoy it.
