After reports from this morning that Samir Nasri’s options had broadened a bit with Sevilla arriving late on the dossier, the player has apparently opted to go to Spain instead of Turkey.

Linked with a move to Besiktas as Pep Guardiola made it relatively clear he wouldn’t have a major role in his team (as shown by his cameo against West Ham), the former Arsenal star should end up teaming up with Jorge Sampaoli.

According to L’Equipe on Tuesday afternoon, the La Liga club have overtaken the Turkish club, and Samir Nasri is expected to fly to Spain on Tuesday afternoon to complete negotiations regarding a one month loan with a view to buy.

The French newspaper say the latest talks have been regarding the player’s wages, and Monchi was the one to ensure the player chose Sevilla over a move to Turkey.

The 29-year-old made 13 appearances, scoring two goals and picking up three assists during the 2015-16 season, spending most of it recovering from a hamstring injury.
