Crystal Palace owner John Textor could be about to ruin Everton’s January transfer plans by signing Real Betis’ Luiz Henrique before the end of the window.

That’s according to Diario de Sevilla, who say the Eagle Football Group, run by John Textor with Crystal Palace at their head, have made a move for the Brazilian winger.

They explain that Henrique’s future appears to be increasingly distant from Betis and Heliópolis, with it looking increasingly likely he’ll depart before the end of the window.

Everton have been chasing him for some while but have been unable to present an offer that would tempt Betis and now they faced increased competition as the Crystal Palace group led by Textor ‘burst in force’ to try and sign the winger.

They’re currently offering more advantageous conditions for Betis than any of the other suitors, offering a permanent deal rather than the loans which have currently been put on the table.

Betis have more than welcomed their sudden emergence on the scene, with the Spanish side having batted off loan offers from Everton, Flamengo and RB Leipzig already and made it clear they want a permanent sale if Henrique is to depart.

Textor could now be willing to offer them what they want, although it’s unclear if his plan is to send Henrique to Crystal Palace, Lyon or Botafogo. Either way, it seems he’s showing real intent to ruin Everton’s transfer plans before the end of this month.
