Borussia Dortmund’s deadline for Jadon Sancho’s transfer has expired, report Bild. The England international this morning got on the plane with his BVB teammates to fly to Switzerland and start a training camp at Bad Ragaz.
The Bundesliga club will be there for a week as they prepare for the coming season.
Dortmund had sent a message out to the media a while ago that if Manchester United hadn’t agreed to pay €120m by August 10th then Sancho would go on the trip and continue with them for another campaign.
That deadline has been widely doubted, with many, among the media and fans, finding it hard to believe the German club would refuse €120m if it came later.
Regardless of that, Bild reiterate that Manchester United haven’t even made an offer yet.
Should Sancho remain with his current club then Bild believe he’ll be given a pay rise, taking his wages from €6m a year to €10m. There would be no contract extension involved with that, and his deal would still be set to expire in 2022.
The German media have previously reported there’s confidence at Borussia Dortmund that they will still be able to get a big fee next summer.
