Stromsgodset IF attacker Abdul Basit Agouda has told the Norwegian media he will not extend his contract with the club.
The 18 year old’s contract expires at the end of December, and he’s been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent days.
Rbkweb.no have reported on comments Agouda made to Drammen Tidende when he was asked about his future at Stomsgodset: “I’ve said I don’t want to extend. I will consider other possibilities. I would love to receive more than a few minutes. It is not easy to show what you can do in such a short time.”
Yesterday we covered reports that Leeds United travelled to Finland on Wednesday to watch Agouda play for the Norwegian U18s. The youngster scored in his side’s 4-0 victory over Finland.
It’s been claimed Agouda has turned down two contract proposals from his club, and it seems the Leeds United target will be leaving in the next window.
If his contract situation with Stomsgodset doesn’t change in the next few weeks, Leeds United will be able to sign him as a free agent, plus training compensation.
