During an interview in November, Marko Arnautovic’s brother, who is also his agent, admitted the West Ham United forward could leave the club in January.

Fast forward to December, Italian newspaper Leggo now have a story on the Austrian international and it’s claimed the 29-year-old wants to leave the Hammers in the mid-season transfer window.

AS Roma is discussed as a potential destination and the report mentions the player was proposed to them earlier in the summer.

The possibility to seal the deal for Arnautovic would see the Giallorossi spend around €25-€30m.

Eusebio Di Francesco’s side have a plan to reduce the price tag by including Edin Dzeko as a part of the deal as Roma are looking to part ways with their star because he’s so far decided against signing a new deal.

The Bosnian played under Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City and it’s thought the current West Ham manager would be happy to welcome Dzeko to the London Stadium.

Leggo reports if the swap deal for Arnautovic and the 32-year-old doesn’t take shape in January, then there is a possibility it could happen after this season.

Given the age difference, West Ham would surely want cash on top.
