Italian website Calcio Mercato brings today a story about the future of AC Milan, who could be sacking Gennaro Gattuso at the end of the season.
They claim the Rossoneri have three managers in their shortlist, and all of them would be arriving in Italy after working in the Premier League.
These bosses would be Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri, and Antonio Conte, who’s having a sabbatical year after his time at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino would be the number one target. But Milan’s problem would be his wages, which are said to be of €7m per season, plus the unattractive Serie A for a manager who’s working in the Premier League.
Conte would be the second option, and Sarri would only be a real target in case he leaves Chelsea in the summer. It doesn’t sound like Milan would try to take him from Blues, as they don’t seem so interested in him as they are in Pochettino.
