After all the circus around Mauro Icardi in the past week, it’s finally time to see the rumours about a possible transfer in the summer market.
Italian outlet Sport Media Set brings an interesting story about the situation today, claiming there are four clubs who are already interested in the Inter Milan striker.
A report on their website lists Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Napoli as the sides in the race. They make it clear that none of the talks have advanced so far, as all the clubs want is to know more about Icardi’s future.
But, there has been contact. Emissaries of the four clubs are said to have contacted Wanda Icardi by telephone to ask about a potential transfer.
Sport Media Set also brings some details about each one of these sides. Regarding Chelsea, they say the interest is conditioned to Maurizio Sarri’s departure, which would result in not signing Gonzalo Higuain permanently at the end of the season.
That’s why the Blues would go after a new striker.
Sport Media Set says Icardi is protected by a €110m release clause until July 15th, and Inter Milan won’t take a penny less. After that, clubs will have to negotiate a fee with the Nerazzurri.
