Cesc Fabregas is certainly not having a dream start of season for Chelsea. In the club’s four Premier League matches, the midfielder has played for only 26 minutes and didn’t even come off the bench in two of those games.
This situation is unusual for the 29-year-old World Cup winner, so the rumours are inevitable. A move out of the club was reported during the summer, and although it didn’t happen, it only took a few weeks until it started again.
Calcio Mercato Web are reporting on Monday that Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Milan for the transfer.
Fabregas would make the move in January on a loan deal, costing between €2m and €3m. The contract would add a permanent move for a fixed price in case he reaches a certain number of games for the Italian side.
According to the website’s information, Vincenzo Montella wants a reinforcement for his midfield and the club’s board want to please him by signing the Spaniard.
Fabregas signed for Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014 for €33m, if he is to leave then the club would almost certainly get a higher fee if he went to another Premier League club.
