Last week, the status of Carlos Bacca’s transfer to West Ham was that the Premier League club were waiting for him to give them an answer.
It’s been eight days now since that was made public by Jack Sullivan, David Sullivan’s son, and the fans still don’t have an explanation as to why no news has come forth.
Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday do, however, as the Italian newspaper claim the Colombian striker has rejected West Ham’s offer to play in London next season, hoping for a reunion with Unai Emery at Paris Saint-Germain.
However, West Ham are the only ones to have put €30m on the table for the striker, meaning that, as things stand, he’s still an AC Milan player.
His want to play in the Champions League is the main thing holding him back from playing for the Premier League club next season.
If the move goes through, Milan would appreciate the money, but, at the end of the day, if they get to keep a player guaranteeing around 20 goals a season, they probably won’t complain either.
It seems like this might end up being a case of how desperate Carlos Bacca is to leave Milan, meaning we might have to wait a bit longer to find out.
If no one else comes in for him, he might be begging for a move to West Ham come mid-August.
