For a few months now, we’ve been reading many stories from the Italian press claiming there are several Serie A sides interested in signing Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.
However, a story from Calcio Mercato today claims there’s a club leading the race for a January move, and that’s Juventus.
Now that Alex Sandro is injured, there’s an urgency for another player for the left-back position.
Calcio Mercato writes that Juventus have followed Emerson Palmieri since his time at Roma, when they started keeping in contact with his entourage.
For Juventus to sign Emerson Palmieri in January, Chelsea would have to accept an offer for a loan with an option to buy, or a swap which would only be analysed at the time of the move.
Calcio Mercato says the player would like the idea of moving to Turin, and with Juventus leading the race against Inter, it’s a matter of finding the right deal with the Blues in January.
