Just hours after the rumours of Fabinho to Liverpool surfaced online, the Reds confirmed they’d agreed a deal with AS Monaco for the Brazil international.
The 25-year-old has struggled to showcase his worth at the Merseyside club so far this season, with Jurgen Klopp not keen to rush him in.
At the start of this month, we carried a report from Le Parisien, who claimed the player was ‘bored’ at Anfield and has now emerged as a loan target for Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Giuseppe Cannella, an intermediary, who earlier admitted that Napoli were previously interested in the player, now claims that Fabinho would excel at AC Milan, if he swapped the Premier League side for San Siro.
“You know Fabinho, who was also proposed to Napoli in the past. At Liverpool is playing little, maybe we can see him in Italy in the future?” Cannella told RMC Sport.
“In the meantime, Klopp is a bit like Sarri. He used more or less the same players. I would see him very well at Milan, he has quality and strength. He did very well in the Ligue 1 and in the Champions League. He is a player of great value, he would be suitable for Serie A.”
Whether Milan are interested in Fabinho and whether Liverpool would consider sanctioning his sale is not clear. But if the South American player sees his playing time limited the way it has been, he may begin to get itchy feet.
