This morning, we had an article covering one of Inter Milan’s issues for the summer window. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italian side would like to sell Geoffrey Kondogbia as they have three other options to replace him.
Their Plan A would be Oympique Marseille’s Lassana Diarra, and as the French side are reportedly interested in Kondogbia, a swap would be possible. Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel was said to be Plan B.
But Tuttosport have some curious information about this case. They claim that Chelsea and Liverpool are the only clubs who could pay what Inter want for Kondogbia.
Marseille would also be interested, but they wouldn’t reach the minimum price of €20m.
If you sum both articles up, it could be interesting for Chelsea. Mikel is clearly not an important piece in Antonio Conte’s squad and including him in the deal would certainly make it easier.
Tuttosport doesn’t mention if either Chelsea or Liverpool would have an advantage over each other, so things don’t seem advanced at this stage.
Whilst on the face of it, the Chelsea option would look possible because of Mikel, Inter Milan are probably involved in more transfer rumours than any other club, so it’s worth taking a pinch of salt.
