Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has been heavily linked with an exit from the club this season, and with the amazing performance he had against Real Madrid in the Champions League’s semifinals this week, we can only expect those rumours to get bigger.

Paris Saint Germain are one of the clubs said to be interested in the 28-year-old, and their chase was one of the subjects in the press conference that club boss Christophe Galtier gave to the French media today.

In quotes relayed by L’Equipe, the manager was asked what he thinks of Bernardo Silva, and pointed out he’s actually admired him for a long time.

“Above all, he’s a Manchester City player. Many of you saw his last game, he was very good. I discovered him when he arrived in Monaco, where Luis Campos recruited him. He’s obviously an interesting player. But I repeat, he is a Manchester City player.”

Just this week, we covered reports from the French media claiming Silva, who’s ‘tired’ of his life in England, is a target for PSG.

It’s been said that signing him from Manchester City would cost the Ligue 1 side between €50m and €70m, and the club would also face competition from Barcelona to land him.

That promises to be one of the good sagas this summer.
