Leeds United have been keen on Noa Lang over the past few years and they tried signing the Club Brugge star when Marcelo Bielsa was at Elland Road.
The Netherlands international revealed in June the Whites made three offers in 2021 and even visited him to negotiate his signing.
Despite past failures, Leeds United continue to be named as the winger’s suitor. Last month, Voetbal Belgie stated Jesse Marsch’s side had indicated they are still interested in the 23-year-old.
Club Brugge suffered a 4-1 defeat to Sint-Truidense on Wednesday and Lang got his name on the scoresheet. The attacker was withdrawn after the break and his manager, Carl Hoefkens, has revealed there’s an injury issue.
“Hopeful with Noa Lang, but we will have to see in the coming days. I thought he played sharply, but he suffered from his hamstring which prevented him from continuing. I hope it’s not too serious,” Hoefkens said.
Voetbal Nieuws relay Hoefkens’ quotes and then explain the Dutchman is ‘aiming’ for a move to a top league. Leeds’ interest is highlighted and the outlet states, at the moment, Club Brugge have not received a concrete offer from the Premier League side.
With Leeds in the mix, an injury would ‘throw a spanner in the works’ of Lang getting his move in January.
The attacker wanted to leave Club Brugge in the summer but couldn’t force a move since he suffered an injury in August. He would be hoping to avoid a similar situation in the winter market.
